During this
1 1/2 - 2 hour tour you will view formations that were only seen by professional spelunkers up
until just a few years ago. On staff specialists will guide you into parts of the cave not
shown on regular tours. Small passageways and getting very dirty are definitely part of
this tour and is not recommended for every guest. Special protective
equipment such as hard hats,
elbow and knee pads and flashlights are required; bring your own or rent from us.
This
tour is generally on Saturday's and is available by reservation only.
There is a new trend in cave
exploration and we are setting the pace. Longhorn
Cavern can be a learning cave for junior spelunkers (age 11 and above) and an advanced cave for senior
crawlers.

*The
Wild Cave Tour will be conducted MOST Saturdays by reservation only. Times do
vary, so be sure to call for reservations at 1-877-441-CAVE (2283). There is a minimum of 6 participants for a
tour to make and a maximum of 15 per tour. Tours that have less than 6
participants reserved by 12 noon the Thursday before the tour will be
notified and you can reschedule for another date. Groups of 6 or more may
request other dates and times. Call
for availability.
**All tours are limited to Age 11 and above. Small
Children and Adults with health problems are discouraged from participating in this
particular tour. The tour is rather physical and not appropriate for all.
